We source our food from local partners whenever possible. Tomatoes and wild herbs are harvested in our very own garden. And all eggs come from happy chickens, which host Johannes Duftner lovingly looks after in his free time. You will taste the quality. Promise.
Fancy a history lesson?
The atmosphere in our Fuggerstube is enchanting, relaxing, unique. This is also due to the fact that it is now almost 500 years old. Miraculously, it survived two fires – and still shines today in the original splendour of its old days. The name? Dates back to the time of the Swabian merchant family Fugger who mined silver and copper in Alpbach throughout the 15th century. The parlour served the miners as a courtroom and liquor store. Even then, Der Böglerhof was known as a place of hospitality and encounter – and we have retained the warmth and cosiness until today. Nowadays, Fuggerstube is our gourmet restaurant and has been awarded with two toques from Gault&Millau.
