We, the Duftners
Driven hoteliers, hosts, and employers with a passion for what we do – that’s how we would describe ourselves, and we are very comfortable in our role. As warm-hearted people, we value our Böglerhof family – and that includes our team as well as our guests. As a family, we have created this feel-good place and only together will our pure nature resort Der Böglerhof remain the idyllic retreat that we all love so much.
The Duftner family

Hosts with heart, brains, and soul
We stand for enthusiasm and passion, for the successful fusion of tradition and modernity. Our strong bond with nature motivates us to offer you more than just a place to stay. And that has been the case since 1933.
An eventful history full of hospitality
The first records about Alpbach date from around 1470. It was at this time that Der Böglerhof received its name – in reference to the bow makers who once had their workshops here. At that time, the farm was owned by the Swabian merchant family Fugger, who mined silver and copper in Alpbach throughout the 15th century. The parlour served the miners as a courtroom and liquor store, and liquid treasures were stored in the wine cellar. Even then, Der Böglerhof was known as a place of hospitality and encounter – and we have retained the warmth and cosiness until today. Nowadays, the “Fuggerstube” – as the miners’ parlour is called – serves as our gourmet restaurant and has been awarded two toques from Gault&Millau. And the wine cellar still stores the finest wines from Europe and the rest of the world.
